My Favorite Things

Hey Y’all,
Full Disclosure here-I don’t want you to feel like I’m trying to shove stuff down your throat. If I share a deal I find and you want or need it that’s great AND if you’re not interested that’s fine too, it’s no big deal. This is just a way for me to make a few pennies here and there without having to put ads up everywhere. I don’t know about you, but it irritates me to no end when I can barely read a blog post for all the ads.

I’m now a approved Amazon affiliate. As I find super deals on My Favorite things, I’ll be able to share them with you. The FCC demands that as a Amazon affiliate, I must disclose to you that if you choose to use my link to purchase something I am recommending, Amazon may pay me a small commission. This does not change the cost you pay at all.

Last night I shared my link for that great deal on canning salt. I hope you got in on it-36 pounds of salt for $15 and change 🤯

I’m off to find more amazing deals for you. What are you needing? Feel free to comment below, I’m off to check out containers and bottles for my medicinals now. Oh and canning jars and lids!!

Talk to ya later,
Deb

My greatest desire is to help you become a Happy & Healthy Home-Maker!

Hey Y'all,
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here, I'm Deb, Debbie or Deborah Raylene (if I'm in trouble LOL). This is where I'll be sharing with you, all my doings here at
Deb's Sweet Country Home
No matter what the season is, there is always something going on here at home. I come from a ranching family and always loved the homesteading lifestyle. Maybe I'm just channeling my inner Grandma Walton or Ma Ingalls.

"Use it up ~ Wear it out ~ Make it do ~ or Do Without"

is one of my mantras. It's a lifestyle that I love. Now that I live in town, I'm still doing my best to live up to the principles of homemaking that the strong women of my family taught me. I feel it's important to share with you, how things were done in the old days, before there is no one left that remembers.

I'll be sharing about gardening, canning and food preservation. Stocking up the food pantry for winter or heaven forbid, in case of emergency whether it's a natural disaster or some man made one, like my hubby and I recently went through. Foraging (my hubby calls it pulling weeds LOL) for the plants to make all of my natural herbal body care products and medicinal remedies. And all the benefits of using them.

I'm afraid that we will soon lose the valuable knowledge our pioneer ancestors passed down to us in the form of folk remedy recipes. It is a important part of our heritage! Being a Home-Maker is something to be proud of, it's a whole skillset like no other. If you are looking for a place to learn how to be more self sufficient and self sustaining, you found it. I hope that I'm helpful to you, just like all my Grandmas, my Mom, Sisters & Aunts have been for me.

Make yourself at home and have a look around, but most of all, Thank You for stopping by and come back soon.

Deb Raylene
